Itinerary
7:00 am pick up from hotel/hostel in San Pedro of Atacama and depart south towards the town of Tocanao. After we arrive to Laguna Chaxa, here you will find a large number of flamingos and Andean birds. Traveling further towards Argentina, we will visit lagunas Miscanti y Miñiques which are part of the National Flamenco Reserve (4,300 masl) and red stones. This reddish location gets its color from the high content of Sulfur and Iron, we can also observe the different fauna like vizcachas, ñandues & flamingos. After the visit, we depart back to town.
6:00 pm approximate arrival to the town of San Pedro of Atacama.
